We the people of the United States of America, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote general welfare, and secure the blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity do ordain and establish this constitution of the United States of America.
Following this preamble are the 27 ammendments to the Constituition. Nowhere in there do they mention anything about making mommy and daddy laws for your own freaking good. If I want a smoke, I have to go outside and fifteen feet away from an entrance or exit to a building. If you want to ride a motorcycle without a helmet, you better watch what state you are in. If you want to share ideas on the internet, watch your language, the yahoo police might be watching. You wouldn’t want to hurt anyones delicate feelings or dissrupt the sheltered lives they live by injecting any new ideas. You keep up the writing and great quotes. I will post answers thanking you until I get kicked offa yahoo. I might not always agree with you but D*** I love freedom of expression. Some folks would even try to limit that, ef them if they can’t take a joke.

k real long and not fun to read on a comp screen. but what i got through is the same rant all over again. stop picking encumbants and think for yourself. smach your tv and pick up a newpaper form somewhere else just to read their perspective and use the internet for your news so you can stream more than one source. knowledge is power are you weak or strong.

In the spirit of "what’s next" apparently, you haven’t heard that our great Governor, Mitt Romney in his infinite wisdom is trying desperately to institute Mandatory Health Insurance in my state.

That’s right, mandatory. If he is being groomed for a presidential run….

There are enough errors in logic to invalidate this whole post. How, pray tell, is banning smoking in bars interfering with PRIVATE behavior? When they invent something that circulates that smoke from your cigarette directly back into your own lungs, you can define smoking in a PUBLIC place as PRIVATE behavior.

Ditto for regulating the amount of water in a toilet flush. We all need water ("we" being all living things on this planet). Wasting it is not PRIVATE behavior.

Helmets and seatbelts reduce accidents and their severity, and therefore reduce medical costs, and therefore keep insurance rats down. Hey, my insurance rates are high enough, thank you very much, without having to subsidize people who think "freedom" means the license to behave with no regard for safety.

OK, OK, I know this is a joke - this is the Joke section, after all; so consider my reply to be for the benefit of those who took this seriously.
